Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is basically a motorized type of a pallet jack. They come in both "Walkie" models and "Rider" versions.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk alongside the machine while they lift and move loads. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent moving of cargo over extended distances in warehouses and manufacturing operations. They are extremely maneuverable and fast.
It is not recommended to pick up and transport tall or unstable loads because there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the perfect answer if you are searching for an inexpensive method for transporting cargo from point A to point B. If though, you should transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece machine designed specifically for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the operator and the load in order to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Typically, the order selector is a very narrow aisle vehicle that can work in smaller aisles. They are very useful pieces of equipment during cycle counting situations as well as in physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more common.
